Waiting...

I'm waiting for my shoulder to improve, so my sewing is also waiting...  These couple of items are at the top of my to do list and I'm itching to get back to them (they've been waiting in this state since Australia Day).

So close to finishing - all I need to do is insert a zip...

The promised jacket for my husband.  A toile in pieces...  Maybe if I wait long enough they'll join themselves?!

How are your sewing/ crafting/ gardening plans going?  What are your strategies for getting back on track when your plans are interrupted?

  1. I have quite a few projects that I'm supposed to be working on, but the cold weather stops me from doing much outside as well as makes me feel lazy and not like doing much inside either. Reading lots of blogs is feeding my creative-lull - so whilst not doing much myself, I feel like I'm building up a collection of ideas and inspiration to use later on when I get back into the swing of things. SO blog-surf and get inspired is my tip! :-)

    1. I've done the opposite lately - I've reduced my blog surfing because looking at all the wonderful projects out there and knowing my shoulder isn't up to sewing at the moment was making me a bit mournful!
But I have come up with a solution - I've decided 5 minute bursts of sewing every hour or two might help me get my sewing fix (and not make my shoulder ache). If only 5 minutes didn't go so quickly!

  2. I sometimes dream of a sewing fairy to do those little finishing things like sewing on buttons, slip stitching hems and such. Oh well, that's what crap TV is for! To keep us mildly entertained while doing hemming and such.

And I hope you blog the finished result please please?
